The COP26 Climate Change Conference has just ended with its usual dose of controversy. Civil society groups staged a walkout to protest the lack of ambition shown by nations. Yet others point to the progress made, such as a mention to reduce the use of coal - a first at a COP conference.
Here in Singapore, local civil society groups also submitted a list of policy recommendations for Singapore to strengthen our environmental performance.
The program includes Ice-breaker, Cockadoodadoo Welcome, Prepared Speeches (Vincent Ng, Xavier Pinneau, Tan Yi Han), and Sharing Session.
The goal of ME&U is to reach out to the masses with activities and information that attendees can understand and eventually do something about in their daily life practices.
